Susan Boyle Is No.1 on Amazon.com
Susan Boyle may soon be living her dream of being a professional singer, if the pre-orders on her debut album are any indication. The "Britain's Got Talent" star recently announced the Nov. 24th release of her debut album, "I Dreamed a Dream" and as of Friday evening, it holds the No. 1 spot on Amazon.com's best-seller list.
She has climbed to the top of the charts even before her album's release, beating Whitney Houston's long-awaited record and the Beatles. The Scottish singer's representative told People that Boyle celebrated the news with a shopping spree at Harrods and Suzanne Neville, a high-end boutique in London.
"Susan is ecstatic, she can't believe it," said the spokesperson. "She's in the recording studio this week, which she's loving. She couldn't be happier."
Boyle, 48, gained fame when she auditioned on "Britain's Got Talent" in April. Her stirring rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from Broadway's "Les Miserables" got a standing ovation and more than 11 million hits on YouTube when it first went online.
