Susan Boyle's Got Talent

Susan Boyle was voted into the next round of "Britain's Got Talent."

The frumpy church volunteer and Scottish singing sensation, Susan Boyle, 47, who amazed the world with her voice, was voted into the next round of Britain's Got Talent.

After the 47-year-old singer shocked the world with her beautiful voice during her audition on Britain's Got Talent, where she sang Les Miserables' "I Dreamed a Dream," Boyle will perform in a live show on Sunday.

Simon Cowell and other Britain's Got Talent judges said that Boyle is in the company of 40 performers that they've chosen to advance in the competition, reported the Associated Press. The 40 semi-finalists were announced on Saturday night's show.

According to BBC News, some of the other performers consist of an 11-year-old street dancer, a dancing dog and a group of performing farmers.

The youngest of nine siblings, Boyle spent her childhood in Blackburn, Scotland in a neighborhood where unemployment and crime were the norm, according to the Associated Press.
