Suzanne Tamim, a Lebanese singer, was found dead in her flat and now her alleged killer has been found.

An arrest has been made in connection with the death of the Lebanese pop star, Suzanne Tamim, the Gulf emirate of Dubai has told the BBC. The 30-year-old singer was found dead in her flat last month and it has put the media into a frenzy, even suggesting that she was stabbed repeatedly to death, according to the BBC.

The 39-year-old man was arrested a few days ago in another Arabian country with help from Interpol. Mattar al-Mazeina, Dubai's acting police chief, would not identify the man they have taken into custody. Mazeina did say that the man had posed as an estate agent to gain access to Tamim's flat.

The suspect had left the United Arab Emirates 90 minutes after the murder and the police had tracked him down with the help of evidence collected at the scene, according to the BBC.

The singer rose to fame after being a part of a TV talent show in Lebanon in 1996, but her career was overshadowed by her troubled private life, reported the BBC. She was reported to have fled Lebanon to Egypt a few years ago, after legal battles with her estranged second husband, music producer Adel Maatouk. She went away from her career and disappeared from the public view in Cairo in 2007 and was thought to be living in Dubai's Jumeira district, according to the BBC.
