Swift Still No. 1
Country sensation Taylor Swift's album, "Fearless," is No.1 on Billboard's album chart for the fourth straight week.
Taylor Swift may be young at only 19 years old, but she's been beating out her older competitors on the album charts for the past four weeks.
According to the New York Times, the blonde-haired country singer's album sales stayed strong against releases from the likes of Beyonce and Kanye West, keeping her sophomore effort, Fearless, in the top spot.
Swift has been able to ring up high sales numbers in an era when album purchases are rapidly shrinking. Her self-titled debut album has been certified three times platinum, and its popularity last year, combined with the sales of Fearless, made Swift the highest selling artist of 2008 in terms of records sold.
