Talk show host Montel Williams pops the question

Montel Williams is ready to walk down the aisle again, for a third time, PEOPLE magazine has reported. The lucky lady is Tara Fowler, an American Airlines flight attendant, who Williams met a year and a half ago.

Williams proposed Wednesday at the restaurant Tavern on the Green in front of both their families.

"I was very surprised. I had no idea," Fowler told PEOPLE. "(Montel) is just a beautiful person inside and out and I love and respect him a lot. I'm very happy, very fortunate."

The couple has not yet picked a date for the wedding, but the two have said they would like an intimate ceremony with close family and friends.

"I feel like I have a true partner," Williams told PEOPLE Wednesday evening. "I think there's a mutual respect that we have for each other that transcends anything I've ever experienced in my life."

Williams has four other children from his previous marriages.
