Tasered Grandmother Is Going to Court

A senior citizen had to be controlled with a stun gun.

Kathryn Winkfein, a 72-year-old-grandmother, was "tased" with an electronic stun gun by police officer Chris Bieze, after being pulled over on her way to Austin, Texas, for driving 60 mph in a 45 mph speed zone.

Video of the incident, which happened last month, was released this week. According to ABC News, Winkfein would not sign her speeding ticket and then proceeded to get out of her vehicle to take the ticket. She yelled, "Give me the f--king ticket now."

According to BBC News, Winkfein refused to be handcuffed and made a scene over a simple speeding ticket, which prompted Bieze to taser the woman with 50,000 volts. Having evidence on the officer's dashboard camera, Winkfein told Bieze that she will sue. She believes she did not spark a confrontation with the officer.

Before being taken into custody, Winkfein was checked out by EMS workers to see if she was injured, described WRCB-TV.
