Taylor Lautner to be 'Stretch Armstrong'

'Twilight' actor Taylor Lautner lands role in upcoming movie 'Stretch Armstrong.'

From a werewolf hunk to action figure, Taylor Lautner keeps rising to fame. The Twilight star recently landed a new gig as the lead role in Universal Pictures' upcoming film, Stretch Armstrong.

“In the past two years, Taylor has emerged as a real star at the global box office. He brings the perfect balance of energy and athleticism to the role of an unlikely super hero with a fantastic super power,” said Universal Pictures co-chairman Donna Langley to Access Hollywood.

The storyline of the soon to be 3-D movie surrounds a spy who is exposed to a formula. Because of this freak incident, he is able to stretch his body in incredible, superhuman ways. As any superhero story goes, his new gift allows him to take on life and fight crime.

Despite the fact that Stretch Armstrong is not expected to hit theaters until 2012, Lautner will still be keeping busy. The actor maintains projects in other movies such as Max Steel, Northern Lights and Cancun. Don't forget to include the idea of the remaining two films in The Twilight Saga. Look out Hollywood, you're about to get a big taste of Taylor Lautner.
