Taylor Lautner Gets New Role

It seems that his big break as a werewolf has indeed paid off. It was recently announced that Taylor Lautner will play Stretch Armstrong in a new film based on the popular toy.

The film will be produced by Brian Grazer who won an Academy Award for A Beautiful Mind. Though originally scheduled for a Spring 2011 release, Universal has pushed the film back for 2012 release because they plan to release it in 3-D format.

Lautner has been receiving a lot of press recently for his role of Jacob Black in The Twilight Saga and also for his short relationship with Taylor Swift who also plays his love interest in the upcoming Valentine’s Day.

Stretch Armstrong is surprisingly not the only toy based movie that Lautner has to look forward to. He will also appear in Max Steel about a teenage superhero.
