Taylor Swift Named Entertainer of the Year
Taylor Swift received CMA's top award Wednesday night, People magazine reported.
The Country Music Awards voted Swift entertainer of the year, country music's biggest honor, making her the youngest ever recipient of the award.
Every year the award is given to the musician who has had the best and most impressive performance throughout the year. This year against tradition the CMAs presented the 19-year-old with the entertainer of the year award over older country musicians such as Keith Urban, George Strait and Kenny Chesney.
The young singer won four awards total Wednesday night at the ceremony. Swift collected album of the year award for "Fearless," female vocalist of the year beating the awards ceremony co-host, Carrie Underwood, and music video of the year for "Love Story."
Swift has managed to sell 10 million copies of her album in the last three years since the release of her debut album "Taylor Swift."
