Taylor Swift Talks About Her Grammy Nominations

Taylor Swift was nominated for eight Grammy awards tonight. Not only will she be competing against Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and many other stars to take home awards tonight, she will also perform her new song “Today Was a Fairytale.”

Some of the awards that Swift is nominated for include Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. In an interview with MTV, Swift said, “I think being nominated for Album of the Year is my favorite of them all.”

For Record of the Year, Swift has some tough competition, but she feels lucky just to be recognized for all the hard work she put into the making of the album. “Just the fact that it’s such a huge category and that fact that I wrote all those songs about my life and about boys and love and relationships and lessons, and it’s very personal. So, to have that gold star next to it there forever, I’ll know that was nominated for album of the year. That really means a lot to me,” Swift said.

The Grammys will air tonight at 8 pm on CBS.
