Taylor Swift Wins AP Entertainer of The Year Title
Taylor Swift was named entertainer of the year, reported The Hollywood Reporter.
Swift was voted entertainer of the year by the Associated Press.
In a survey conducted for newspaper editors and broadcast producers across the United States the 20-year-old country singer was chosen as the top entertainer of the year.
In 2007 the winner of the title was satirical news reporter Stephen Colbert, followed in 2008 by actress and comedian Tina Fey.
The Associated Press title is part of the multiple awards received by Swift in the year 2009.
Swift won the album of the year award by the Country Music Awards and album of the year by the Country Music Association Awards; she also received five American Music Awards, which included artist of the year.
The country singer also won the MTV’s Video Music Awards award for best female video.
Swift later hosted NBC’s Saturday Night Live and she also performed at the Grammys.
