Taylor Swift's Eighth Week at Number One

Taylor Swift's hit "Fearless" is the top selling album in the United States for the eighth week with 63,000 copies sold, according to Variety. The overall number of copies sold is said to be 2.4 million, as reported by Nielsen Soundscan.

E! reported that Swift's success has not happened since 2004, back when Usher released. Also, the young star made it her seventh week straight of being in the number one spot, an achievement only featured by Creed in 2001.

Although the mark is great, it seems like the reign will end this week as Bruce Springsteen will have the chance to promote his already famous release "Working on a Dream" during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

As for the rest of the singers who have been left watching Swift's back for the last seven weeks, Beyonce came in second place with "I am...Sasha Fierce," Nickelback made it to third with "Darkhouse" and Kanye West followed with "808 & Heartbreak."
