Teammates Turn Against Laura On Survivor
Flip-flopping and betrayal were the main themes of Thursday night's "Survivor."
Laura Morett was voted off the show last night, reports MSNBC. Two former Galu members, Shambo and John, played a part in her exit.
After the votes were counted the first time, there was a tie between Laura and Natalie. In a breach from former seasons, the tiebreaker did not involve a race to start a fire.
Jeff Probst revealed that for this season, ties would be broken by a second vote, in which the two who were tied did not participate. If the second vote resulted in another tie, the contestants, minus the two with votes, would draw rocks from a bag. Therefore, the cast-off would be determined randomly.
In the first vote, Shambo had switched sides and voted for Laura. The second time around, John realized that he had a chance to save himself from having to leave based on chance, and voted for Laura also.
Reality Wanted spoke with Morett about being voted off by former teammates.
"We never trusted John," Morett admitted.
As for Shambo switching alliances before even entering tribal council, Morett was not shocked.
"Yea, we knew," she said. "We didn't even consider her," she said about her and her other alliance members' attitudes about including Shambo in their discussions.
Overall, the 40-year-old felt honored that she was considered a big enough threat to vote off. Now, she wants to focus on getting her degree in Theology and speaking publicly with women about their worth.
