'Teen Mom 2' Star Janelle Evans Arrested on Assault Charges After Video Surfaced Online
Teen Mom 2 star Janelle Evans proves that there’s always a bad seed in the bunch, following in the footsteps of Teen Mom bad girl Amber Portwood.
Evans, 19, was arrested on Sunday night in Oak Island, NC after video footage of the reality star fighting another young girl surfaced on the Internet.
TMZ reports that her attorney revealed a warrant was issued for the young mother’s arrest after police got a hold of the video, which shows Evans fighting Britany Truett.
Truett had initially said she wouldn’t press charges, but she has since changed her mind. Evans is due back in court on April 26 for assault and "affray for fighting” charges.
Her attorney claims, “Based on the information that I have received, I believe Jenelle was set up.”
The girls were fighting over Evans’ ex, Kieffer Delp, who was also arrested with the MTV star because of a cocaine charge from last year.
Us Magazine reports that Evans voluntarily gave up custody of her 19-month-old son, Jace, to her mother last spring.
