Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has suffered a miscarriage, according to a report.
OK! Magazine first reported it, after having the news confirmed by the 19-year-old West Virginia-native’s fiancé, Jeremy Calvert. A source first told the magazine that she felt “bad cramps” during the past two weeks "...and then she miscarried.”
“All I can do is support Leah and take things day by day,” Calvert told the magazine, according to The Hollywood Gossip. "It's hard, but we will get through it,” he added.
Hollywood Life reports that the source also told the magazine that the miscarriage happened when Messer visited her mother, Dawn Spears, at her home on Saturday. “Leah knew something was happening...She was bleeding and had body aches,” the source said, adding that Calvert and Messer decided to keep it a secret from everyone. They also decided that Messer’s 2-year-old twin daughters, Aliannah and Aleeah, were too young to be told what had happened. Messer’s ex-husband Corey Simms is the father of her children.
The source also said that it has “not crossed” the MTV reality star’s mind about trying for another baby, adding that the two still plan on going ahead with the marriage.
Us Weekly just reported Messer’s engagement and pregnancy on Jan. 9. "She is so excited!” a source said at the time.
Messer had been married to Simms for just six months when she filed for divorce last April.
