Teen Vogue's October Issue Loves Taylor Lautner
As the "Twilight" frenzy continues, and groups are divided between "Team Jacob" and "Team Edward," with the newest installment, "New Moon," out soon, Taylor Lautner is featured on the cover of Teen Vogue.
Lautner, who plays Jacob, Bella's best friend-turned-werewolf in the second installment of "Twilight," said that only specific girls side with Jacob.
"If she likes having a really close friendship with a guy, being able to tell him anything and having that friendship transform into something more . . ." he explained.
With thousands of girls swooning over him, his character, and his body, Lautner still remains modest, saying that people swoon over his character and that any actor playing his role would receive as much attention. He's just the "lucky" one, he said.
The 17-year-old actor had to work hard to keep his role. He said he started "hitting the gym, hiring a personal trainer, eating the right foods, and eating a lot of them."
Thank his Xtreme Martial Arts coach, who was a blue power ranger, for getting Lautner into acting. He suggested Lautner audition, and although reluctant at first, Lautner realized he enjoyed it.
"Taking on roles that were opposite of what I could be in real life? That's still my favorite thing," he said.
