Television Show for Twitter?
According to Entertainment Weekly, Twitter is working on a TV series. Novelist Amy Ephron created the idea. The show is still untitled but will contain regular people competing with celebrities.
Reuters reports that Twitter has partnered with production companies Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment.
The show will involve players on a quest to find celebrities. Twitter is currently the hottest social messaging network and its pairing with reality TV will definitely bring in ratings, according to Bizmology.com. The show itself will be crazy with scavenger hunts and regular people looking for celebrities. This, however, is what people are drawn to; the lives of celebrities and the exposure they have of themselves on reality TV.
Twitter has denied these rumors, according to Bizjournals.com, but has said in blogs that it has the power to transform television. Brillstein Entertainment Partners' CEO, Jon Liebman, said that he is looking forward to working with Twitter. So maybe the rumors are true?
