Terminator Salvation On Pace to Gross $70 Million
According to Hollywood Insider, the newest Terminator adaptation collected $13.4 million on Thursday. Those numbers put a five-day gross estimate at $70 million.
Salvation, which stars Christian Bale as the lead character, John Connor, is a much different approach to the Terminator series. Directed by McG, the film takes viewers through the war against machines rather than explaining it through dialogue.
Although the movie has received many poor reviews, some die-hard fans remain optimistic, reports Comicbookmovie.com. Rather than taking in the confusion and high-expectations of the film, some are saying to really enjoy this movie, one must allow confusion if they expect the film to succeed.
According to MTV.com, director McG explained that some scenes chatted about on the Internet forums that were not in the final cut of Terminator Salvation, will make it to the DVD.
Terminator Salvation is out in theaters everywhere, and is rated PG-13.
