That's So Last Year! Kanye West Set to Close Out VMAs

After reported problems between him and producers, the rapper will give a performance at this year's VMAs.

After saying that he would never perform again at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, that's exactly what Kanye West is doing reports latimes.com.

West will be the closing act at the VMAs this year that will be held Sunday night in the Paramount Pictures Lot in L.A.

The star was reportedly unhappy about not performing on the main stage at last year's show saying that he "got betrayed by the Music network by not taking main stage."

West was also quoted as feeling that MTV was wrong in having pop queen Britney Spears open the show with what became a much-noted weird performance for her, saying the network "exploited Britney in helping to end her career."

To top things off, West also had to be peeved for not winning in any of the five categories he was nominated in.

What's in the past though apparently stays there.

The change of heart will bring West back to the VMAs along with Spears, Rihanna, Pink and Christina Aguilera, who is a last minute addition to the performance line up.

Performances by teen sensation the Jonas Brothers, The Ting Tings, and Lil Wayne are also scheduled.
