TheCelebrityCafe.com's Dominick Miserandino to Receive Phil Spahn Award
The Press Club of Long Island, the local chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, has chosen to honor TheCelebrityCafe.com Executive Editor, Dominick Miserandino, with the Phil Spahn Award. Miserandino, editor of the longest-running entertainment magazine on the Internet, was chosen based upon his outstanding contribution to journalism, PCLI and the community.
"I was humbled and honored," said Miserandino when asked how he felt about receiving this prestigious award.
Miserandino founded TheCelebrityCafe.com in 1995 and has been a member of the PCLI for several years.
Miserandino, who has been writing for the majority of his life, has authored two books, How to Survive Your First Year of Marriage by Traveling and Mother-in-Laws, Shopping, and Baby Talk, Oh My! and has been published in more than 50 newspapers around the world.
"We've won awards in the past, but it's always a great feeling to be acknowledged by your peers," stated Miserandino.
The awards ceremony will be held June 4 at the Woodbury Country Club in Woodbury, N.Y.
