Thomas Hayden Church to star in Eddie Murphy Comedy

The "Spider-man 3" villain is in talks to be in an upcoming comedy.

The film, produced by Paramount Pictures, concerns a struggling businessman, played by Eddie Murphy, who solves work problems by consulting his daughter and the imaginary world she has created. Church will play the villain, a workplace rival, against Murphy's character.

"NowhereLand" is scheduled to begin shooting next month in Los Angeles. Karey Kirkpatrick has signed on to direct and the film is set for a September 2008 release date.

Thomas Hayden Church, who recently played Sandman in "Spider-Man 3," is currently shooting "All About Steve," a romantic comedy starring Sandra Bullock. He received an Oscar nomination for best supporting actor for his work in "Sideways."

Eddie Murphy recently starred in "Shrek 3," the most recent film of the franchise. Eddie Murphy also received an Oscar nod for his supporting role in last year's "Dream Girls."
