Tiger Woods admits to affair

Tiger Woods admitted on Wednesday that he has been engaged in a 31-month affair with a Los Angeles cocktail waitress named Jaimee Grubbs.

The LA Times reports that Woods posted an statement on his website, apologizing for his actions and asking to be left alone to deal with his situation privately. This, along with Woods' car accident in which he ran over a fire hydrant and smashed into a tree, has caused the athlete's usually near-perfect image to be tarnished quite a bit.

Tiger Woods withdrew from a tournament in Thousand Oaks this week, and refuses to answer questions publicly on the subject as of right now.
