Tiger Woods Confirms He’ll Return To PGA Tour At The Masters

PGA golfer Tiger Woods confirmed on Tuesday that he will be making his long-awaited return to the tour at next month’s Masters

The Associated Press is reporting that golfer Tiger Woods confirmed earlier today that he will be making his return to the PGA tour at April’s Masters event. Woods released a statement to confirm his plans and announce his much anticipated return to the tour after a four month hiatus. He last competed on November 15, 2009 at the Australian Masters, which was a tournament that he won just twelve days prior to the infamous car accident that occurred outside of his Florida residence.

Woods has been quite vocal about the respect that he has for the tour’s major tournaments and many had been speculating that he would ultimately make his return at Augusta. An excerpt from his statement reads, “The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta. Although I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life.”

The famous golfer clarified in his statement that he has been undergoing two months of inpatient therapy to help him deal with his sex addiction. He had not had the opportunity to legitimately consider making a return to competitive golf until recently due to the personal and marital issues that he has been enduring in recent months.
