Tiger Woods Is A Daddy

Tiger is a daddy! Less than 24 hours after Tiger Woods finished second at the U.S. Open, his wife Elin gave birth to their first child. Sam Alexis Woods was born early Monday morning.

Although Woods was fortunate to not have to miss out on the Open, he is uncertain about how his new life as a father will affect his golf career. Two weeks ago, he told reporters, "I'm pacing myself already just because of the fact that I have a baby coming up. I don't know how much I'm going to play after that or how much I'm going to play before that."

But don't worry about Tiger feeling bad about missing out on golf. "This is far more important than any game of golf," he said. "This is an opportunity for us to raise our first child, and we're really looking forward to it."
