Infamous golfer, Tiger Woods, 35, was recently struck with a flying hotdog during a golf match on Tuesday.
The hotdog-throwing culprit, Brandon Kelly, 31, was arrested for disturbing the peace, and is likely to receive a fine and community service punishment, reported Us Magazine.
And what did Kelly blame his actions for? The Ryan Gosling flick, Drive, where Gosling plays a stunt performer.
"I threw the hot dog toward Tiger Woods because I was inspired by the movie ‘Drive,’” Kelly reasoned. “As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, 'I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger."
As cause of this bizarre act, Woods wound up missing his 18-foot putt and tied the tournament in San Martin, California for 30th place, reported The Telegraph.
“This guy was just trying to gain attention for himself, which he did," Woods said on the incident.
