Rachel Uchitel is known to be Tiger Woods’ No. 1 mistress back when the adultery scandal first broke out.
However, the one-time Celebrity Rehab star was depicted in the news as a grieving woman who lost her fiancé, investment banker James Andrew O’Grady, in the 9/11 terrorist attacks before she even knew Woods.
Uchitel was recently interviewed by The New York Post, and she is now suing over the published article.
In the article, Page Six quotes Uchitel as saying statements such as “I’m almost happy it ended the way it did because I’ve learned so many lessons from him. It would have been tragic if we got into fights and then divorced.”
The publication also quotes her as saying if her fiancée didn’t pass away, “I would be a fat housewife with three kids in Sands Point, LI.”
According to TMZ, Uchitel maintains that the quotes were both taken out of context, and she was misquoted. She told the website, "I would have loved nothing more than to be Andy's housewife.”
Uchitel has hired lawyers and plans to sue both Page Six Magazine and The New York Post. However, the Post confirms, "We stand by our story."
