Timberlake and Spears's Run-In

Talk about an awkward moment between celebrity ex-couples.

It was a close call when former flames Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake crossed paths at Yatai Asian Tapas Bar in West Hollywood Monday night, a witness told Usmagazine.com. Timberlake was dining with girlfriend Jessica Biel when Spears entered the restauarant around 10 p.m. According to the source, Biel was looking fabulous while the recovered singer "didn't look the best, but she probably thought no one would see her, as this restaurant isn't usually a hot spot."

Another onlooker described the situation as "uncomfortable," adding the size of the restaurant is comparable to a living room. "Jessica and Justin looked to be slumping down in their seats to avoid [Spears]. She left 30 minutes later," said the observer. "Shortly afterward, Justin and Jessica got in their car and left."

In her MTV documentary, Spears confessed her "devastation" towards her 2002 breakup with Timberlake, saying he was a big part of her life. "So when he was gone I was like, 'what am I supposed to do with myself?'"

And it seems the feelings are mutual for Timberlake who told Oprah Winfrey in 2007 that he had "nothing but love" for his ex.
