Timberlake Joins "The Social Network"

Justin Timberlake will play Sean Parker; the co-founder of Napster, who later became Facebook's founding president, in the movie "The Social Network". Alongside Timberlake will be Jesse Eisenberg who will play Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg.

Andrew Garfield has been cast as Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.

"The Social Network" is a film based on the creation of the social networking site, Facebook.

David Fincher will begin directing the film in Boston next month before moving production to Los Angeles. Kevin Spacey is one of the executive producers.

The film will be produced and distributed by Colombia Pictures. "The Social Network" screenplay was written by Aaron Sorkin.

The upcoming film is an adaptation of "The Accidental Billionaires" a book written by Ben Mezrich. Mezrich's book is the unofficial story of how Zuckerberg, Saverin and Parker conceived and launched the site.

Headlines were recently made by Facebook for teaming with Neilson, a ratings company, in interest of tracking online advertisements.
