On Tuesday night, Tina Fey accepted the Mark Twain Prize for Humor at the Kennedy Center in Washington. Accompanied by her husband, producer/composer Jeff Richmond, the SNL alum received praise from her friends.

“Tonight we celebrate a dynamite lady. I’m so happy to attend your comedy bar mitavah. So far the food is excellent and your Evita theme is really working,” former SNL co-star Amy Poehler joked.

30 Rock guest star Jon Hamm said, “Tina, like the other recipients of this award, is unique and a resonate voice within the America comedy scene. She deserves this.”

Fey is only the third woman to receive the honor. “It is crazy. It feels crazy. I am honored to be here. I am so honored to be in the company of Lily Tomlin and Whoopi Goldberg, the other women who hold this prize. All the people that have this prize are heroes to me,” the Sarah Palin impersonator told the audience.
