TLC's Hit Show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" Ranks No. 1

Maritial problems help the new season's ratings and "Jon and Kate Plus 8" rank number one on TLC.

TLC's hit series "Jon & Kate Plus 8" have hit an all time high with 9.8 million viewers tuning in to the premiere of its second season. Although the show ranked number one on Monday night's show, viewer population dropped drastically compared to its premiere.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Hollywood Insider, the back-to-back episodes only attracted 5.5 million for the first half hour and 5.9 million for the last half hour of the show.

It has become evident that the marital problems between the couple have helped the show's ratings. It's questionable whether or not the marriage drama will worsen this season and how the children will be affected. This season will give viewers an inside look into the issues the couple has been facing lately and provide answers to questions viewers may have regarding the rumors spread around by tabloids.

"Jon & Kate Plus 8" was already TLC's most popular show. Viewer interest has been boosted by media coverage of Jon and Kate Gosselin's marital woes, reported Google.
