TMZ Admits Kennedy Photo A Fake

The online magazine admitted the controversial photo they posted online was a fake

TMZ.com admitted the alleged picture of John F. Kennedy used on their Web site is a fake, reported the Boston Herald.

TMZ staff announced it had obtained a photo that “could have changed history,” which showed who appeared to be Kennedy on a yacht with naked women partying.

The gossip magazine told on the Web site that the photo was given to a car dealership owner on the East Coast who bragged for years about having a picture of Kennedy with naked women.

The Web site’s story posted that when the man died 10 years ago one of his sons inherited the photo, and had the picture surfaced when Kennedy ran for president it could have changed world history.

In reality the photo was actually taken in 1967, four years after Kennedy’s assassination, as part of a Playboy shoot.

After talking with a Playboy representative, TMZ staff told readers the photo had been part of a story called “Playboy’s Charter Yacht Party.”
