TNT Renews "Saving Grace" and "Raising the Bar"
TNT has officially renewed both Saving Grace and Raising the Bar.
The cable network announced their decision Tuesday (Sept. 16), specifying that both shows would return in 2009, which is Grace's third season and Bar's second.
Raising the Bar has been a huge hit for the Mark-Paul Gosselaar-starring drama (Gosselaar, of course, played Zach Morris on Saved by the Bell). It debuted to 7.7 million viewers, and has averaged 5.5 million viewers over its first three episodes.
"Few series on television are as daring as this one," Turner programming boss Michael Wright says of Saving Grace, which stars Holly Hunter as an Oklahoma City police officer who's watched over by a "last-chance angel." "We're thrilled to be welcoming it back."
Speaking about Raising the Bar, Wright said, "It was an easy decision to bring back [the series] for a second season and to continue our great relationship with [executive producer] Steven Bochco and the entire cast and crew."
Both shows received fifteen episode orders from TNT, which will both air sometime in 2009 (the dates haven't been formerly announced yet, but when they are, we'll let you know).
