Tom Cruise Gives Brooke Shields Womanly Advice

We know Tom Cruise is a ladies man but what can he possibly know about postpartum depression, considering he's never given birth? Apparently a lot because the "Top Gun" lashed out at actress Brooke Shields for using antidepressants after she gave birth to her daughter Rowan in 2003. Shields, who recently wrote a book called "Down Came the Rain," about her depression after the delivery room, lashed out at Cruise for calling her actions "irresponsible." "Tom should stick to saving the world from aliens and let women who are experiencing postpartum depression decide what treatment options are best for them," said the former Suddenly Susan star. So why is Cruise so upset about what Brooke Shields is doing? Last I checked he was still dating Katie Holmes. His comments to Brooke may stem from his practice of Scientology, which condemns mind-altering prescriptions as a means of coping. I care about Brooke Shields because I think she is an incredibly talented women, (but) look at where has her career gone," Cruise said.
