Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Announce New Tour
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to perform at Super Bowl XLII before beginning tour.
Classic rockers Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have announced their North American summer tour.
According to the Associated Press, Petty's new tour will commence after Super Bowl Sunday. Petty and gang are scheduled as the main act to headline Super Bowl XLII's halftime show, on February 3, 2008.
Performing during the Super Bowl halftime, by Petty and the Heartbreakers, is deemed as an honorable opportunity. Now a tradition, they will join a great history of past halftime performers, and be given worldwide exposure.
Tickets for the upcoming tour are scheduled to go on sale February 4, through Ticketmaster. Rocker Stevie Winwood will join Petty & The Heartbreakers on the road.
