Tonya Harding, best known for attacking fellow ice skater Nancy Kerrigan, is pregnant with her first child.
Harding, 40, and her husband Joseph Price are “very happy”, her attorney told People.
“Tonya is pregnant and very happily married,” said Linda Lewis. “She wants her privacy, but she is very happy.”
The Portland Tribune reports that Harding is expecting a boy and she’s expected to give birth “any time.”
The expecting mother lives in the southwest Washington area. She won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, but in 1994 she devised a plan with her ex-husband and body guard that would ultimately seal her fate in ice skating.
Harding hired someone to attack her competitor, Kerrigan. After eventually pleading guilty, she was banned from amateur skating.
