Is too much Megan Fox really that bad?
Megan Fox's ascent to a-list celebrity and Hollywood hottie has led some to say she is the next Angelina Jolie. While she may be one day, right now people have apparently hit their limit, and Asylum, an everything men's Web site, is ironically the first to do something about it.
Asylum and about one dozen similar Web sites will block out all Fox-related news for one day on Aug. 4, according to Actress Archives. James Bassill, editor-in-chief of Askmen.com, is among those that are Foxed-ed out, telling the Daily News that his Web site will join the Aug. 4 respite from "the woman we've been drowning in all summer."
While the whole concept may sound silly, Fox has been everywhere this summer promoting "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," as well as her upcoming horror film, "Jennifer's Body." Disregarding the six magazine covers she has graced, the queen robot-slayer's name has been all over the rumor mill during the past few months regarding her often-denied romance with "Transformers" co-star Shia LaBeouf, in addition to other Hollywood leading men, and her indirect back-and-forth with "Transformers" director Michael Bay. The coverage has been constant.
That notwithstanding, one day without Fox means Asylum, Askmen.com and the rest will likely continue covering the star on the rise the next day and forward with little impact on the nature of their celebrity coverage overall. That is the true pity of all of this.
