Top PGA Award Winner Not a Surprise

PGA awards were given out this weekend.

No Country for Old Men took home yet another award this weekend. At the Production Guild of America Awards on Saturday, Feb. 2, it received the Darryl F. Zanuck Producer of the Year Award, reports the Associated Press. The award is the PGA's equivalent of the Oscars' best picture.

The award was presented to Joel and Ethan Coen, as well as their fellow producer Scott Rubin. No Country for Old Men has won multiple other awards, including the Screen Actors Guild of America Award for overall cast, and best supporting actor for Javier Bardem. It also took home top honors at the Directors Guild Awards.

Even though it has won the equivalent awards at these award shows, No Country is not guaranteed the top award at the Oscars. In the past, many of the winners have not gotten the Oscars' top honor.

Other winners at the PGA Awards included Ratatouille, for best-animated producer, and Sicko, for best theatrical documentary.
