Tori Spelling Weds Actor Charlie Shanian
Tori Spelling, once the preppy sweet-heart "Donna" on TV's Beverly Hills 90210, walked down the aisle in a white lace dress she designed herself to meet her groom, actor-writer Charlie Shanian. The wedding took place at her parents' "Spelling Estate" in Holmby Hills on Saturday.
Aside from her career-making role as the virginal California gal on 90210, Spelling, now 31, is the daughter of television producer Aaron Spelling and has appeared in films such as Scary Movie 2, Scream 2 and Troop Beverly Hills.
According to Free Press news services, the couple met on stage in 2002 during a Los Angeles production of the romantic comedy, "Maybe, Baby It's You," co-written by Shanian.
The wedding, which was carefully guarded from the press, served as a reunion of all sorts. There were over 400 guests, 200 for the bride and 200 for the groom. Tori's former Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates Jason Priestley (with fiancee Naomi Lowde), Jennie Garth (with husband Peter Facinelli), Ian Ziering and Tiffani Thiessen (with boyfriend Brady Smith) were all in attendance. Though white balloons hung over the mansion in an effort to guard against unwanted media infiltration, like most celebrity weddings, the paparazzi helicopters still got their pictures.
