Trace Adkins’ Band’s Tour Bus in Fatal Crash

Two motorists are dead after crashing into County singer Trace Adkins’ band’s tour bus.

Country singer Trace Adkins’ band was involved in a fatal car crash on U.S. 71 in north Caddo Parish, Louisiana on Saturday morning. According to local news station KTBS, a pickup truck swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting the band’s tour bus head-on. Both people in the truck were killed.

Adkins was not on the bus at the time of the collision, but five of his band members were injured. One received stitches and another went to the hospital for observation. The Celebrity Apprentice star did, however, go to the scene of the accident. He picked up his uninjured bandmates and went to visit the others in the hospital.

Adkins said in a statement, “This is a real tragedy. Two people have been killed and I don't even know their names. So out of respect for their families, I prefer not to comment too much at this time.” He will continue on the Louisiana leg of his tour with Martina McBride, planning a solo acoustic show for Saturday night’s concert. According to E!, he will not take the stage during Sunday’s show in Florida.
