30 Rock star and comedian Tracy Morgan was rushed to the hospital after accepting an award at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, UT Sunday.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan was in town to attend the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards. He was there to receive the Spotlight Initiative Award. Sources confirmed to the Reporter that after he gave his acceptance speech, he collapsed and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Sources also told the Reporter that during the awards ceremony, Morgan looked out of control. He walked the red carpet, but gave no interviews and during the ceremony, he was seen yelling and falling onto the floor.
Sources also claimed to TMZ that he looked “intoxicated” at the ceremony.
ABC News reports that Morgan’s representative released a statement saying that, “From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention.” The representative added that he is “...with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care. Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100 percent false.”
Amy Roberts, a spokeswoman for Park City Medical Center, also confirmed that results showed that there were no drugs or alcohol in the 43-year-old actor’s system.
Morgan does have a history with health problems. According to E! News, Morgan is a diabetic. He also underwent a kidney transplant two years ago. MTV News adds that Morgan is a recovering alcoholic and was arrested for driving under the influence in 2005 and 2006.
Morgan’s film, Predisposed, is being screened at the festival. He stars alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Melissa Leo.
