Transformers 3 Extra in Coma after Accident
A woman working on the set of Transformers 3 as an extra is currently in an induced coma following an accident on the set. Gabriela Cedillo was injured Wednesday after she was driving through a scene of the film.
According to witnesses, a cable snapped, going through the windshield of the car Cedillo was driving. The cable hit her in the head, causing the 24-year-old to suffer a brain injury.
She is recovering at Loyola Medical Center after receiving brain surgery. The aspiring actress was said to be excited about working on the film. The film crew released a statement, saying, “Our thoughts and prayers are with Gabriela, her family, and loved ones.”
The statement further added that they would be looking into the cause of the accident.
This isn’t the first time that the Transformers set has experienced danger.
Back when Transformers 2 was being shot, the film's lead actor, Shia LaBeouf, needed stitches after an accident left a cut near his eye.
