'Transformers 3' Extra Hurt on Set
An extra in "Transformers 3" was hurt while filming on Wednesday.
According to Fox Chicago News, Gabriela V. Cedillo, 24, was injured while filming a stunt scene in Hammond, Indiana.
A cable reportedly snapped and crashed through the windshield of a car Cedillo was driving. The car continued its course for about a mile before crashing.
Cedillo was airlifted to Maywood's Loyola University Medical Center with serious injuries to the head.
Witnesses say director Michael Bay personally gave a speech stressing the importance of safety minutes before the accident occurred.
"Transformers 3" was scheduled to finish filming in Chicago on Thursday. Filming has been postponed.
