TSA Worker Plays A Not So Funny Prank

A TSA worker planted a bag filled with a white powder on an unknowning flyer.

Going through airport security is no laughing matter, that is, unless you’re the airport security.

Rebecca Solomon is claiming that a Transport Security Administration worker at Philadelphia airport played a prank on her while she was flying back to school in Michigan, the New York Times reported.

Solomon said that while she was going through security and employee stopped her to search her bags. When the worker reached into her laptop case he pulled out a plastic bag filled with white powered, which she had never seen before.

Solomon retold the ordeal in a recent article for her college newspaper, The Michigan Daily. In the article she said, "He let me stutter through an explanation for the longest minute of my life. Tears streamed down my face as I pleaded with him to understand that I'd never seen this baggie before."

The TSA worker later laughed and said that the bag was his, Solomon said.

Solomon filed a complaint at the airport, but is still upset by the ordeal. "I had been terrified and disrespected by an airport employee," she said in the article. "He'd joked about the least funny thing in air travel."
