At the Television Critics Association press tour Saturday, TV Land confirmed that it is renewing Hot In Cleveland for a fourth season. The network also announced a spin-off that stars Cedric the Entertainer.

TV Land president Larry W. Jones told reporters at the press conference that because the show recently won at the People’s Choice Awards and since star Betty White received a Screen Actors Guild nomination, “...it's clear that the fans love and want more of Hot in Cleveland," according to The Huffington Post. The show is TV Land’s first original sitcom and stars White, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves and Wendie Malick.

The fourth season will result in another 24 episodes, which will bring the show’s total number of episodes up to 78. As Deadline notes, this is a huge number considering that TV Land only ordered the show’s first full season 22 months ago.

Zap2It reports that Cedric The Entertainer’s spin-off will be called Have Faith. Cedric first appeared on Hot in Cleveland as Rev. Boyce Ballentine in the show’s second season. He will play the same character, who is a retired R&B singer that becoems a minister and takes the reigns of his father’s church.

TV Land has already picked up 12 episodes of Have Faith, which will credit Cedric and Hot In Cleveland creator Suzanne Martin as the show’s creators. Reno 911!’s Niecy Nash will appear on the show as Ballentine’s wife. The show will begin airing in June.

AOLtv actually reported that Have Faith was in the works before Cedric’s character even made his first appearance. "We're definitely going to bring people quality entertainment and laughs with this new show," Cedric said in a statement at the time.

As for Betty White, news that Hot in Cleveland will continue could not have come at a better time. On Monday, NBC airs a 90th birthday special ahead of the premiere of the White-hosted Off Their Rockers.
