TV Robots in Disguise To Be "Transformed" Into Film
The kid-favorite 1984 cartoon "Transformers" will hit the big screen in 2007
The term "Transformers" hasn't been in our vocabulary, or on our TV screens since 1984. Thanks to directors Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg, the robots in disguise will be coming to life in the near future. "Transformers," the popular cartoon is being transformed into a live-action film by Bay, screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, and Spielberg as executive producer. No casting decisions have been made yet, but no matter the actor behind the costume, Optimus Prime, Mega! tron, and Override will once again convert into tanks, fire trucks, jet fighters, and helicopters on July 4, 2007.
