Two Takes on Jackson Go in Opposite Directions

One of Jackson's close friends speak about the singer's final year, while another can't think of a good thing about him.

One who claims to have been Michael Jackson's closest friend for the past year said he helped the singer take Neverland Valley Ranch out of foreclosure.

According to MTV.com, Dr. Tohme Tohme told the Associated Press Jackson's brother Jermaine contacted Tohme last year to seek help with Neverland Ranch. Tohme bonded with Jackson and became his closest friend and final business manager when they succeeded in protecting the estate. Tohme said Jackson was "a wonderful human being" and a good father.

Another person, however, believes otherwise. Associated Press reports a New York congressman was seen in a YouTube video calling Jackson a "pervert." Rep. Peter King said instead of crediting teachers, police officers, firefighters, veterans and volunteers for their efforts, society is paying too much attention to a "low-life."

FOX News reports King said Jackson "may have been a good singer….But the bottom line is, would you let your child or grandchild be in the same room as Michael Jackson?"
