UFC 94 Fighter Bonuses

UFC Fighters took home some extra cash.

According to MMAJunkie.com, five fighters took home bonuses in the amount of $65 thousand for the UFC 94 pay-per-view event.

UFC 94 was main evented by the highly anticipated rematch between UFC Welterweight Champion, Georges St. Pierre, and UFC Lightweight Champion, BJ Penn. The bout was contested for St. Pierre's welterweight championship belt.

The UFC handed out "Fight Out Of The Night" honors to both Nate Diaz vs. Glay Guida and John Howard vs. Chris Wilson. Diaz vs. Guida was the opening bout on the main broadcast card while Wilson vs. Howard was one of the preliminary matches.

Guida defeated Diaz in a close split decision. Howard also won his bout by split decision in a night where five fights ended in split decision, a record for a UFC event.

Lyoto Machida took home "Knockout Of The Night" honors for his knockout stoppage of Thiago Silva in their main PPV card bout. Machida also took home a sixty five thousand dollar bonus, and remains undefeated in his mixed martial arts career. As Machida has won his last six straight fights in the UFC, this puts him well in line for a much-deserved UFC Light Heavyweight Title shot.

Rashad Evans is the current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. Currently it is unknown if Evans will face Machida for the the title next or former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Jackson is scheduled to face Keith Jardine at UFC 96.
