Ugly Betty: A Comedy in Drama

ABC replacing "Ugly Betty" for another comedy.

The show that has brought an unusual form of popularity to girls with braces, bad hair, and thick eyebrows may be in jeopardy.

ABC has told the Daily News it will pull "Ugly Betty" from her once well-known Thursday 8 p.m. time to broadcast instead "Samantha Who?" starring "Married with Children's" ditzy blonde Christina Applegate and "In the Motherhood," starring Megan Mullally and Cheryl Hines.

To all "Ugly Betty" fans: Entertainment Weekly reports "Ugly Betty" is expected to end on March 26 and won't return until June... or will it? According to ABC's spokesperson, the hit show will be back without a doubt. Star of "Ugly Betty" America Ferrera has performed very well and is a crowd-pleaser with her adorable charm. The fact still remains that the show has not done so well since the 07-08 writer's strike.
