UK National Trust May Save Abbey Road
A spokesman for the National Trust told BBC News that there is a possibility they may try and buy the Studio.
“If there is enough momentum, we may launch a campaign to save the studios,” the National Trust Spokesman said.
They said that they had already been contacted by concerned fans. "It's not often that the public spontaneously suggests that we should acquire a famous building," the spokesman said. "However, Abbey Road recording studios appear to be very dear to the nation's heart - to the extent that we will take soundings as to whether a campaign is desirable or even feasible."
Abbey Road Studio is the studio where the Beatles recorded their albums.
The National Trust already owns the homes that Sir Paul McCartney and the late John Lennon grew up in in Liverpool.
