Underwood Scores an Engagement Ring
Singer Carrie Underwood and hockey player Mike Fisher plan to wed.
Just weeks after receiving two Grammy nominations, country singer Carrie Underwood has something else to celebrate, her engagement. According to People, her boyfriend, 29-year-old Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, popped the question at his home Sunday afternoon. A rep for the 26-year-old former "American Idol" winner confirmed the happy news in a statement, saying, “I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier. No wedding date has been set at this time.”
Underwood and Fisher have been dating for about a year. According to E!, the two were set up by friends after one of her concerts in Toronto.
